Ooty..! The Kashmir of Southern India.
Ooty……..! The Kashmir of Southern India, also called as Udhagamandalam, the capital of Nilgiri district, is popularly known as the “Queen of hill stations” among the tourist places.
The city is situated at a distance of 100 km (apprx) away from Coimbatore and the height of the hills in the Nilgiri range varies between 2280 and 2290 metres, the highest peak being Doddabetta at a height of 2623 metres, which is interm called as ‘Sucide Point’.
One of the snap that I’ve taken in Doddabetta a long time back. The establishment of numerous tea estates made Ooty famous. On the way to doddabetta you find a Marvellous scenaries where the photographer inside every person will be tempted to come out.
Lofty mountains, dense forest, sprawling grasslands and miles and miles of tea gardens greet the passengers on most routes.
